WHAT'S UNIQUE ABOUT THIS BOOK?
Oaxaca is my home, not just a place I visit occasionally. Oaxaca Tips - which started as a list of suggestions for visiting friends and evolved into a guidebook - is a labor of love for a city I love.

My selections are independent. I am not in the travel business.  I don't accept freebies or receive commissions, and no place is included just because it is owned by a friend (though friends own some of the places I include).

My assessments are subjective. In Oaxaca Tips I share with you the same suggestions I offer my own visitors: my personal recommendations - based on almost 40 years of experience in Oaxaca - for the most worthwhile and rewarding places to eat and shop and to experience the art and culture that make this UNESCO World Heritage Site one of the world's premier travel destinations.
