This tiny café in the northern part of the city earns well-deserved bravos for its outstanding Neapolitan fare. The creation of Italian chef/owner Enrico de Rosa, Mexita will delight your heart and palate. The menu focuses on a selection of pastas prepared with vegetables or seafood, based on whatever is in season, plus salad, pizza, and occasionally fish. All the ingredients are super fresh, the bread is home-baked, the superb mozzarella, sausage, and pasta are prepared in-house, and every dish is cooked to order by Enrico himself. Such enchanting food comes at a price, but if you are looking for authentic Neapolitan home cooking - no spaghetti with meat balls, no salsa  on the table - Mexita is well worth the trip to San Felipe. However, with only five small tables, you might want to call ahead. Tel:  520-2180
